Seven manufacturing companies: Rolls Royce plc, Ishida Europe, Nicklin Transit Packaging, UV Light Technology Limited, Baxi and the Microlise Group attended the event. The companies discussed with the group how they have developed/are developing their business models, and the underlying processes, in their respective organisations; highlighting the challenges faced by companies moving to Digitally Enhance Advanced Services.
Thirty seven academics, including ECR’s, from computer science, engineering and representing over twenty universities attended the workshop to co-create a comprehensive research agenda.
This will inform the first call for Digitally Enhance Advanced Services projects that will be undertaken by teams from industry and academia. The first workshop to commission projects will be held on 2 April and further details will be available shortly.
